Earlier this week, our dear friend and Cambridge photographer Suhayl was the victim of a devastating hit-and-run accident while riding his bike. He is currently in critical care at Beth Israel ER with a broken spine.

If you’ve spent time in Central Square, you know his work. He captured the spirit of our neighborhood through the "In Central I Can" campaign during Covid, and has spent years documenting beautiful, raw moments on film inside PAGU, Pammy’s, Cicada, Althea, and so many local spots.

Suhayl has given so much art, love and impactful storytelling. Now he needs our help. The road to recovery will be long and difficult.
