TargetCancer Foundation (TCF) works to advance the development of more effective & personalized treatments for people with rare cancers.

We envision a world in which everyone diagnosed with a rare cancer has effective treatment options & a chance to live. The history of TargetCancer Foundation

TCF was founded in 2009 by Paul Poth, a dedicated husband, new dad, and lawyer with a passion for public service. Paul was diagnosed at the age of 38 with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare cancer that had no treatment or cure and very little resear

We are truly honored to be named an inaugural Illumina, Inc. Corporate Foundation IMPACT grant program recipient!

The IMPACT grant program aims to address gaps that prevent cancer patients from accessing genomic testing, and we will use this funding to support TCF-001 TRACK, our fully decentralized clinical trial that brings biomarker testing and expert precision medicine recommendations directly to patients with rare cancers or cancers of unknown primary across the US. 🧬

In addition to funding, the IMPACT grant program brings awardees together to share insights and learn from one another. We are grateful for this opportunity, and we look forward to collaborating with our fellow awardees to improve access to genomic testing.

The final putt has dropped! ⛳️

We are incredibly proud of our Golf Fights Cancer Golf Marathon team members, Ryan Marsh and Kevin Kershaw, for taking big swings against rare cancers at Juniper Hill Golf Course yesterday.πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’₯

A special thank you goes out to our VIP caddy, TCF Board Chair Colin Carey, for hitting the links with our team, and to Golf Fights Cancer for inviting us to be a part of such a meaningful event.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has already chipped in to support Ryan and Kevin. The final leaderboard isn't locked in just yet - which means there is still time for you to help them drive home their fundraising goals! πŸ’š

: Meet the Mintz Project Analysts!

As part of our longstanding relationship, Mintz assigns two Project Analysts (PAs) to TCF each year to provide critical volunteer support for our annual fundraising events.

This year, Shruthi and Emma spent months securing donations and organizing our silent auction leading up to A Night to Strike Out Rare Cancer at Fenway Park. On the night of the event, they coordinated their fellow PAs to expertly handle check-in, check-out, and everything in between.

We're incredibly grateful to Shruthi, Emma, Grace, Jessica, Jordyn, Judy, Miya, Sneha, and Wish for your incredible dedication. We couldn't do this without you! πŸ™Œ

Thank you, Mintz, for partnering with us to support the rare cancer community! πŸ’š

What happens when you put patients at the center of cancer research? Better options and better outcomes.

At our 4th annual Think Tank on Advancing Precision Medicine in Rare Cancers, experts in precision oncology explored how clinical trials are evolving from one-size-fits-all approaches to patient-centric models.

Watch Dr. Razelle Kurzrock, Dr. Young Kwang Chae, TCF CEO Jim Palma, and Dr. Jens Rueter discuss how precision medicine, flexible trial designs, and real-world data can make trials more accessible, faster, and more relevant for rare cancer patients.
