We send this song out to the world as we bear witness to the mindblowing devastation being caused from the LA fires. May all find safety-- as well as the love, comfort and support they need to heal from this traumatic experience. And may we all attune more deeply to our Earth. . . and how we are being asked to transform in our care of Her.

You may have noted a major release film currently in theaters that is generating a lot of positive buzz-- called Janet Planet. Many of us went to see it together and found it to be a slow, deep, evocative, and quite wonderful film. It takes place in 1991 in the Pioneer Valley, outside of Northampton in Western MA -- where two of us, Marytha and Susan, went to college. The best part??? Libana's music in used in the soundtrack! Most of the soundtrack is the sound of crickets, but then Round and Round (from A Circle Is Cast) appears behind one scene, and our music plays throughout all of the closing credits! We are beyond thrilled and excited ❤ We have always wanted our music to be used in a film . . . and that dream finally came true! And in a bigger way than we likely had ever dreamed of. Here is a Boston Globe review, but if you cannot access it, there have been many other reviews (NYTimes, New Yorker, Rolling Stone, WaPo, etc...) so just do a Google search! Here's hoping it comes to a theater near you, and that you will be able to experience this film--and enjoy Libana's musical contribution to it! (Currently playing at Coolidge Corner, West Newton, and other theaters in the Boston area. . .)
Annie Baker’s debut feature film, ‘Janet Planet,’ is set in a world all its own — the Pioneer Valley - The Boston Globe "I think one of the reasons I made the movie is that I don’t know how to describe the Pioneer Valley," Baker says. "It has a really specific aesthetic."
