Some places hold memories….some places make new ones….the best ones do both 🎣🌤️

Last weekend curiosity led the way. The girls wandered from table to table, encountered for the first time, couldn’t believe Clifford was there in real life, chatted with authors, and left with books they chose entirely on their own.

Thank you to the , ✍️ author’s & 🖌️ illustrators, and the incredible volunteers who continue creating safe spaces where young readers can discover new stories, ask questions, and fall in love with books 📖

I shared a few of our favorite moments from the festival on the blog, including why events like this matter so much to our family + small community. Link in bio 🔗

The reason I care so much about planning & events is my mom 🦀❤️ We started this tradition not for a trendy social media post or a Pinterest moment but because it brought everyone together.

The older I get, the more I realize I may be more like her than I think. Hospitality, family gatherings, and creating meaningful experiences all started with her and…probably a little inspiration.

She taught me that the best memories are made while cooking together, that there’s always room for one more at the table, and that hospitality isn’t about perfection. It’s about creating moments that make people feel welcome, comfortable, and at home.

And as I continue building this next chapter…those lessons remain at the heart of everything I do 📝
