Thank you everyone for going out to vote and being part of our community. We won in Califon, but not in Tewksbury, and ended up losing by 101 votes. Of course we were hoping to win, but we are thankful for this opportunity to get to know the community regardless.

What particular experiences or skills have prepared you to serve as a board member?

A strong school board that can drive us forward is one that represents a variety of backgrounds and expertise. The current board would greatly benefit from a member with a deep understanding of technology and AI—fields that are shaping the future and fields where our students are already excelling. With 20 years of experience in technology, I am committed to staying informed about the latest advancements and trends. I make it a priority to stay ahead of my kids in tech knowledge, and I believe that these skills are exactly what the NHV board needs to support our students’ growth in an increasingly digital world.

Why are you running for the North Hunterdon-Voorhees School Board?

I am running for the Board of Education for a few important reasons. Initially, members of our community reached out to me, believing I would be a strong candidate to fill the vacancy left by John Melick, who stepped down after years of dedicated service. While I hadn’t previously considered serving on the Board as politics has never been a big interest, I have always advocated for providing our children with the best possible education and supporting public schools. I believe it is essential to give back to our community, and I am confident that I can contribute meaningfully to ensuring our future generation receives the quality education they deserve through my service on the Board of Education.

While our daughters had a wonderful time at Trunk or Treat at TES, I got a chance to talk to quite a few people about my stance on not banning books. Great job and thank you to Tewksbury, NJ PTA!

Thank you to the Hunterdon Review for the endorsement. We had no idea this was coming and it is an honor for the community to support this run for school board. Let's strengthen our fantastic schools together!
