There's no better time to explore the incredible abundance our local farms have to offer. From sweet strawberries and crisp greens to fresh herbs, flowers, and seasonal vegetables, farmers' markets are filled with flavors that simply taste better when they're picked at their peak.

Supporting local farmers means bringing home fresher food, strengthening our community, and celebrating the seasons one delicious bite at a time.

This weekend, skip the grocery store and take a stroll through a local market. You might just discover your new favorite ingredient.

The strawberry season won’t Last Forever! 🍓

One of my favorite things about June is the abundance of fresh, local strawberries. Their sweet flavor and vibrant color are impossible to beat, but their season is all too brief.

A few tips from my kitchen:

✔️ Wait to wash strawberries until you're ready to use them. Excess moisture can shorten their life.
✔️ Store them in a single layer in the refrigerator, lined with a paper towel to absorb moisture.
✔️ Have more than you can eat? Hull them, spread them on a baking sheet, freeze, and then transfer to a freezer bag. They'll be perfect later for smoothies, sauces, baking, or homemade jam.

As a chef, I always encourage people to enjoy fruits and vegetables at the height of their season. Fresh-picked strawberries need very little—just a bowl, a spoon, and maybe a dollop of whipped cream.

Last Thursday marked a significant milestone for Gryphon Gallery with the inspiring opening of ABSENCE OF GRAVITY by Robin Love. A former photographer whose work is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Love brings her distinctive eye for light, atmosphere, and emotion to painting. This exhibition marks her first solo show of oil paintings and includes works inspired by her travels and artist residency in Orquevaux, France. Through luminous color and ethereal landscapes, her paintings invite viewers into spaces of beauty, memory, and reflection.
