Said goodbye today to my 3 yearlings that were left. Good luck Nicole with your new girls! Down to a dozen. 7 are my old retired finished champions. A few older girls with a couple breeding seasons left. Looking for good homes. One girl needs one ADGA win to be finished, she is Chenango-Hills and Fairlea background. She is solid! Older but in amazing shape.

Mike caught Pico staring at deer at the far end of the farm tonight. For almost nine this girl is in phenomenal shape. 7 freshenings, leads nicely, gets on the milk stand, kids easily and is a great Mom. Wish someone would breed her again. Would make a 4Her very happy. Although she is getting old. She’s available.

I am a bit desperate to find some hay to hold me until first cut is available again. My guy ran out. If anyone has any leads for me, in my area, I’d greatly appreciate it. Down to 20 goats and have more leaving in the next 2 weeks. Thanks for any help! Added a picture of Papaya, who never really got her chance to shine in our herd, but is so nice!

Hi Friends. Unfortunately my Rockstar Father was diagnosed with ALS in February. Devastating news for my family especially after them suffering from the house fire. My focus has turned to family time and his care. The farm is coming to an end. I have some goats left. Mostly older with a few breeding years left. If anyone is interested in info let me know. I want very little for them knowing they will go to homes where they will be used! I’ve had some amazing buyers and mentors throughout the years and preference will be given to them. Please reach out for info. Please keep my family in your thoughts. Life is rough right now.

Foxy was definitely one of my absolute favorite heart goats. She gave me so many beautiful kids that added unmeasurable value to my herd. Flash Flood and Ice Cream Man are two of the many. She was my feisty sharky that would try to grab me on the milkstand, but would then nuzzle me for daily scratches. Shes been in the “hotel” barn for the past couple months knowing this Winter would be tough for her outside. Flash and her have been pampered and under the heat lamp for weeks. Last night she ate and received her scratches from me and this morning peacefully gone. At almost 14 this girl was solid and held her own till the end..I will miss you girl. 💔

Post storm cleanup is still underway. So sore from shoveling and lugging water buckets. Thankful for Owen and Johnny for doing the brunt of the plow/clearing work. All critters survived and well. Farming since I was 9 and I think this Winter is finally breaking me. Stay warm and safe everyone.

This was 10years ago yesterday and will probably look exactly like this tomorrow! Please keep all who are tending to their livestock, farm prep, and securing safe warm surroundings for them in your thoughts and prayers today! Its brutal out. Stay safe everyone!
