At the June 15 Board of Education meeting, Mr. Jonathan Fuller was named the newest assistant principal of Gordon Central High School.

Gordon Central High School is proud to welcome Mr. Jonathan Fuller—a 2005 graduate of Gordon Central who went on to serve four years in the United States Navy, where he developed strong leadership, discipline, and teamwork skills.

He began his career in education in 2015 after earning his degree in History and Secondary Education from Dalton State College. He has served students at both the middle and high school levels, starting in Polk County before returning to Gordon County Schools, where he has worked for the past decade.

Mr. Fuller taught at Red Bud Middle School for six years and has spent the past four years at Sonoraville High School in the history department. Throughout his career, he has focused on building positive relationships with students, staff, and families, and using data-driven strategies to support student achievement.

He holds a Master’s degree and an Education Specialist degree in Instructional Technology, along with Gifted and Teacher Leader endorsements. Mr. Fuller is also a graduate of the Gordon County Schools Aspiring Leaders Program.

In addition to teaching, Mr. Fuller has an extensive coaching background, leading the girls’ soccer program at Red Bud Middle School before becoming head coach at Sonoraville High School, where the team recently earned back-to-back Elite Eight appearances.

Mr. Fuller is committed to giving back to the school and community that shaped him, focusing on the continued success of Gordon Central and its students.

“I am honored and excited to return home to the Warrior family,” Mr. Fuller said. “I look forward to serving the students, teachers, and families at Gordon Central High School.”

Please join us in congratulating Jonathan Fuller and welcoming him home to Warrior Nation!
