I often get asked for suggestions of "shrubs native to Alabama", "groundcovers native to Alabama", and similar topics.

Since different plants have unique needs (like soil type, sunlight, and water) these questions can be pretty broad.

To help with this, I use a fantastic searchable plant database from the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.

You can filter plants by all kinds of factors to find the perfect native species for your space!
