UPDATE (9:45 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2024): The emergency shelter is now closed.

🚨🚨🚨EMERGENCY TEMPORARY WEATHER SHELTER TO OPEN AT 5 P.M.: Crane Eater Community Church, located at 3168 Red Bud Road NE in Calhoun will offer their gym as a temporary shelter to those who may need somewhere to go to get out of the storm and into shelter. The shelter will be open beginning at 5 p.m. this afternoon through 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27th. Listed times of operation must be adhered to. Also, anyone with small pets can bring them as well as long as they have a portable kennel and supply their own pet food.

This location will supply a space along with somewhere to sit or lay down, relax and stay overnight. Food to include light snacks, coffee and water will also be made available.

All those that seek shelter at this location will be expected to respect the location, the volunteers and others that seek shelter there. Anyone who cannot act accordingly or who damages the property will be asked to leave.

‼️LIST OF FLOODED ROADS REPORTED BY GORDON COUNTY EMA: Reports are beginning to come in of flooded roads around Gordon County. Please stay off the roads if possible and if you have to be out do not go through flood waters over the roadway. TURN AROUND….DON’T DROWN!
