Today we honor Juneteenth which is a powerful reminder of both the progress made and the ongoing journey toward justice and equality.
As a school rooted in Veritas and Caritas, we reflect not only on the end of slavery, but also on our shared responsibility uplifting others and actively help build a more compassionate community.

In the words of Maya Angelou, “History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again.” As we celebrate freedom, resilience, and hope, we recognize that Juneteenth is not just a moment in history but also a living call to action. We remain committed to listening and learning, and leading with love.

This week, our Mount students began their Summer Accelerated Precalculus Honors course. They added a bit of fun to their learning by completing a worksheet on evaluating functions, matching their answers to colors, and using those answers to complete a color-by-number worksheet!

In May, MSDA hosted its 12th Annual Meghan Doyle ’05K Run! It was a day full of cheering, running, walking, connecting, and simply enjoying time together as a community! Thank you to all who volunteered to hand out race packets, provide snacks for the community, and cheer our runners and walkers on.

We can’t wait to see you again next year for another amazing race!

June’s First Friday Mass -- the Mount’s final school Mass of the year -- ended with a special conclusion: the blessing of the bats and mitts.

As the MSDA Lady Lions Varsity Softball team takes on IHA this afternoon in the State Sectional Finals, each player will carry a meaningful reminder of her Dominican roots. Along with their blessed bats and mitts, small pocket crosses will serve as a symbol of faith, sisterhood, and the support of an entire school community behind them.
