The IVRHA is an affiliate of the National Versatility Ranch Horse Association. Our goal is to have fun and educational versatility events in the northwest!

We are an affiliate of the National Versatility Ranch Horse Association, and like the NVRHA, our primary objective is to provide an educational, fun and safe opportunity for amateur riders to improve their horsemanship while focusing on the skills a typical horse on the ranch would be expected to perform. NVRHA's mission is to raise awareness of, and appreciation for, the versatility of the ranch horse and to foster the preservation and enhancement of western culture and heritage. To provide a program and place for showcasing the ranch horse and will maintain a strong link among breed associations, the ranching community, the professional horseman and versatility ranch horse riders. To provide classes to cover skills that the ranch horse would need in the ordinary course of working on a ranch. To provide competitions for participants to showcase the skills learned in clinics and to heighten the awareness of ranch horses in a fun and learning atmosphere are held in conjunction with the educational clinics. The Intermountain affiliate organization was brought to the northwest by One Mane Ranch in Caldwell, ID.The IVRHA is led by an advisory board of directors that assist in promoting and producing these events. IVRHA event points count towards the national year end standings of the NVRHA. Participants who become members and go to 2 IVRHA events will qualify to attend the national competition. Those who go to 5 events (nationals count for 1 of these events) are eligible for the national high point year end awards! Clinics & Competitions
Individual event managers produce the clinic/competitions for the IVRHA and are responsible for following NVRHA rulebook. NVRHA card holding judges will be used at competitions. Guest clinicians may also be asked to join our NVRHA judges during clinic days. Participants must join the clinic to compete in the competition at events. IRCHA is sad to announce the passing of a dear friend, member and exhibitor, Jodie Averett. Services for Jodie will be held Tuesday, September 12th in Baker City, OR. Her contagious smile will be greatly missed by all!

Congratulations to Kelly Wilkerson, our 2017 IVRHA Novice Champion with her horse Sierra De Cobre. Our events are open to any breed of horse or mule & all levels of riders. Kelly & Sierra are a testimony to the fact that you do not need a professional level cutting horse, or a specific breed of horse to form a winning partnership.

Just a quick poll.... any interest out there in having a Fall Ranch Versatility event? We've had a few people show interest, but we absolutely need a minimum of 12 riders committed in order to cover the expense of putting on the event. We are considering moving the next clinic, originally planned for August 5-6 to September 2-3, for hopes of cooler temperatures & overall enjoyment & health of our participants, clinicians & support teams..... any feedback?? What does everyone think??

Some snapshots of today's schooling competition. We enjoyed having this fantastic group of riders at the ranch this weekend. A huge thank you to Sally Jane Gibson & Shawn Deal for sharing their knowledge, & providing a positive learning environment. All our participants did a great job, & it was fun seeing the improvements in our returning riders. Results will be posted soon...
