It’s been a while since I’ve posted but that’s because I’ve been busy having a good time working on some new projects and finishing up some as well. I’m also grateful for all the bands coming through to rehearse!
Shout to Soultron love having them here for rehearsals and they’re the only band I’ve heard rehearsing here to cover Bjork!
BERN STRONG continues to record and do what she does so well, I love watching/being a part of Bern’s recording process.
Mouthbreath has been in the house working on new recordings for the first time in many years 🤘
And Dean Nevolis is almost done with some new Dean Nevolis recordings, we’re in the final mixing phase!

I had a great experience meeting Joe Borges a few weeks ago, the original owner/builder of what is now HomeFront Studios! Joe and his partner Vito built this studio in the early 80’s when it was called Sanctuary Studios. Here we are over 40 years later and Im approaching 18years of owning Joe brought pictures of his son at 2 years old playing on the drum set and I showed him pics of my kids playing drums at the studio, truly a full circle moment 🤘❤️

I’m so grateful for all the talented artists who’ve been recording here over the past few months. Lots of really good original music being created, grateful to be a small part of it!

Big shout out to we had a super productive session last weekend. Greg brought his beast of a drum kit and he killed it, everyone nailed their parts, another 6 songs done! 🤘

It’s great to have and her crew back in the studio! She’s got some amazing new songs in the works, looking forward to recording more!

Started August off with another amazing session with and she laid down some solid drum takes. Guitar, bass, vocals, drums…Bern does it all! 🤘

Had a fun and productive recording sesh with they braved the humidity and laid down 6 songs 🤘 thank you guys for coming through, looking forward to recording more!

Yesterday, April 15th marked my 17th year owning HomeFront Studios LLC. It’s hard to believe how much has happened since I opened these studio doors in 2008, a month into the housing/market crash. Gail and I went from living in the back of the studio to buying a home where we are now raising 3 amazing kids. HomeFront survived the Great Recession, the pandemic, and now I’m hoping to be able to keep it going amidst inflation and every damn utility bill and crappy service provider increasing charges. I’ve only made it this far because of the support of my family and the amazing community of musicians and friends who continue to support this place. Despite every musician thinking they’re a professional audio engineer because they have a laptop and logic, there’s still a place and need for recording studios like HomeFront. So many talented musicians and amazing humans have come through these doors over the years, it’s hard for me to comprehend sometimes. The sounds we get here are unique and special, it’s a comfortable environment to create in and you get my goofy ass as your engineer! THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT & HERE’S TO MANY MORE YEARS! Had another fun sesh with we laid down some acoustic tracks and experimented with only using 2 mics to record drums. Bern’s got a lot of new stuff brewing, stay tuned!
