With so much going on, it’s been hard to carve out time to draw, but I needed to draw SOMETHING for the upcoming Border Town Comic Con! Ultimately I returned to my muse Rude Astro, who is just Astro Boy but with a lot of attitude. Every few years I’ll fill up sketchbook pages of this guy being a twerp. Glad he was here for me once again. PS - I don’t think smoking is cool, but delinquents do.

Seasonal Produce Publishing officially now has its own stand for handing out comics at a convention near you…or more likely near me. Thanks to my dad for helping me make this a reality. He made it WAY cooler than my initial vision.

Another preview page from Far Away Ansible, this time from my short story “Starry Eyed.” Do you love emotionally vulnerable gay cat boys in space falling for fboy wizards? Then this is the comic for you. Link in bio.

We’re doing something a little different for this month’s meet-up…a graphic novel swap! For our next meet up on Saturday, June 14 at 10:00 AM, local Treasure Valley creators are invited to swap and share graphic novels and art books they’d like to go to other creators rather than tossing on eBay or in the donation pile. As always we’ll be at our favorite comics and coffee spot .outpost. See you there!

This weekend is Bordertown Comic Con! There’s so many reasons to make your way out to Ontario, Oregon for this event, but one of the best is to come join me and for a costumed figure drawing session. Not only do you get to hear me drone on about things like “the impact of gravity” and “how evolution has built incredible feats of biological engineering,” but you get to draw from one of the best life models in the business! Excited to see you there!
