Just consistency. And 28 years in this community.
Standing on a rock in my garden at 59-two hip replacements and all…who cares?? This is real.
The pose is not the practice. The practice is showing up.

Science might just be catching on to the benefits of yoga ,movement, and meditation as a viable modality to help alleviate tension and stress, by replacing it with calm, balance and clarity.
But those of us who have been practicing Yoga for decades and years, have long known the benefits because we have experienced it first hand in our own bodies.
This is not a new philosophy. This is not a new science. This is what true Yoga -done the right way, with the right integrity, with the right intention, with the right instruction-creates for every person who opens themselves up to this incredible practice. What we do on the mat is a pathway to more calm, peace, de-escalation, balance, and clarity:it is a tool to discovering how we act or react to challenge ,change,and ego. It is an opportunity to shift perception to awareness and truth.
Sun salutations or “Surya Namaskara” is a fundamental sequence of poses that has been practiced for generations of yogis. Its power and potency is well known, and the amazing thing about it is that it’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s accessible to everyone. You don’t have to practice yoga for hours a day to reap the benefits. You can do five or 10 sun salutations in a pinch or as a daily morning ritual to feel how it changes you…and it will!!
