Looking for a New Lesson Horse 🐴

Does anyone have a horse that’s looking for a job?

I’m looking for a safe, sound horse to join my lesson program. It will receive excellent care, consistent exercise, quality nutrition, and lots of attention.

Requirements:
• Quiet, reliable temperament
• Comfortable with beginner to intermediate riders
• Able to jump crossrails up to 2’ comfortably
• Good ground manners and sound for regular work

If you know of a horse that would be a great fit or is available for lease or use in a lesson program, please send me a message with photos, age, experience, and location.

What you waiting for?

Summer mornings, late evenings, dusty boots, tired muscles, and long days. But seeing these riders grow and watching these horses happy, willing, and eager to do their job makes every moment worth it.

It’s more than riding—it’s building confidence, trust, and a partnership that keeps us coming back day after day. ☀️🐴💛 HappyHorses

For just pennies a day you could help save these puppies from being caged up in an air-conditioned office all day. If the owner does not have to work, they won’t have to be caged.

this is a joke, and no animals were harmed in the making of this video

I’ve seen too many dog accidents to allow them to run around freely also we have snakes and wildlife

Today was absolutely terrifying. 🐍

While cleaning and reorganizing the tack room, I leaned down and put my face just inches away from this little guy before I even realized he was there.

It was a powerful reminder that when we work around barns, horses, and nature, we have to stay aware of our surroundings at all times. Take your time, look before reaching into corners, under tack, or around storage areas, and always wear appropriate footwear.

Thankfully, everyone is safe, and so is this little visitor. Sometimes the smallest surprises are the ones that get your heart racing the most.

Stay alert. Stay calm. Respect wildlife. 🐴🐍

Only 5 years old, and already doing amazing things. 🐴✨

Her parents came to me because she was shy and struggled to communicate. They hoped horseback riding would help her become more confident and independent.

Today, her dad told me he has seen a dramatic change in her confidence, her willingness to communicate, and her ability to express herself.

In our lessons, we’re not just learning to ride. We’re learning how to care, communicate, and connect with a horse through patience, kindness, and clear direction.

Watching a child find their voice and believe in themselves is one of the greatest rewards of teaching. Every small step builds confidence that reaches far beyond the arena. ❤️🐎

At RJN Stables, we’re not just creating riders—we’re helping build confident, compassionate young people.

Good Monday morning! ☀️
Back from vacation, recovered, recharged, and ready to get back to work. Sometimes the best thing you can do is step away, reset your mind, and come back with fresh energy and a new perspective.

Grateful for the memories, but excited to be back doing what I love—working with horses, teaching amazing riders, and chasing new goals. Let’s make this week a great one! 🐴💪🌿

Happy Monday. Let’s get after it! Grateful NewWeekNewGoals

Rjn Stables and the clients over the years. This is just a few of them.

Horses saved my life.

They made me the person I am today.

They taught me patience when I wanted to rush, humility when I thought I knew everything, and resilience when things didn’t go my way.

People ask why I spend so much time at the barn. The truth is, I could sit and watch a horse for hours and never get bored. Every flick of an ear, every breath, every shift of weight is a conversation if you’re willing to listen.

After years of being around them, you become tuned in to your surroundings. You notice the wind changing, the birds going quiet, a horse tensing before it spooks, or a subtle look that tells you exactly how they’re feeling.

Horsemanship isn’t just about riding.

It’s about learning to slow down, to be present, to trust your instincts, and to respect an animal that owes you nothing but gives you everything.

Some people find peace at the beach or in the mountains.

I find mine standing in a barn, listening to horses chew hay, feeling the warmth of the sun on their backs, and knowing that for a little while, nothing else in the world matters.

Horses don’t just teach us how to ride.

They teach you how to live

People see the ribbon.
They see the perfect round.
They see the horse that never misses a jump.

What they don’t see are the refusals, the spooks, the tears, the falls, the frustration, and the thousands of quiet moments where a rider chooses to get back on and try again.

I teach differently, and that’s okay.

I don’t just teach someone how to steer a horse around a course. I teach balance, feel, timing, patience, and the relationship between horse and rider. I teach my students to understand why something works, not just how to do it.

Social media and horse shows often make it look easy. They show the perfect rounds, the beautiful moments, and the wins. They rarely show the spooks, the refusals, the bad days, or the rides that didn’t go as planned.

The best riders aren’t great because every ride is perfect.

They’re great because they keep showing up. They work through the mistakes, learn from them, and come back the next day ready to try again.

Stop comparing your journey to someone else’s highlight reel.

There are no shortcuts in horsemanship. There is only consistency, patience, hard work, and a willingness to learn every single day.

The goal isn’t perfection.

The goal is to become a better partner for your horse every single day.

Some much-needed family time. ❤️🌿

Laughter, relaxation, and new adventures—finally taking the time to slow down and enjoy the moments that matter most. Time is flying by way too fast, and my niece and nephew are growing up way too quickly.

Grateful for every memory we’re making together and every reminder to put the phone down, breathe, and simply enjoy being present. Life moves fast, but moments like these are the ones that stay with us forever. 💚✨
