VFW Post 8433

On Monday, May 25, American Legion Post 122 hosted a Memorial Day Ceremony with the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 122 and VFW Post 8433. Many members of the community attended to learn the history of Memorial Day and what it really means. We honor those who gave all for our country. Let us never forget the sacrifices those have made before us!

Happy Belated Birthday to VFW Post 8433! The post was chartered on May 19, 1966. Let’s continue growing and being an asset to our veterans, spouses, children, and this community.

We had a great day today. Served approximately 60 meals in Whigham and took another 20 out to the less fortunate. Thank you to all who served today!

Today we honor and celebrate the United States Marine Corps and the Battle of Belleau Wood in Germany. It is also an opportunity to pay tribute to the Marine Corps' beloved mascot, the English Bulldog, which has been a symbol of the Corps since World War I.

The care package drive for our troops at Osan Air Force Base in South Korea starts TODAY—and we’re coming with PURPOSE! 💪🏽

We’re not just sending boxes… we’re sending love, support, and a reminder that they are NEVER forgotten. ❤️🇺🇸

Our goal is 104 care packages, and it’s going to take ALL OF US to make it happen!

🔥 And shoutout to Georgia District 8 for already setting the tone! They kicked things off with a raffle at their district meeting and raised $172 toward this mission! 👏🏽

This is one of those moments where we show what our community is really about.
