Good morning everyone.

First and foremost let me say THANK YOU to everyone that supported me during my campaign this time. The conversations and the time spent with everyone I came in contact with was meaningful and welcomed.

We ran a good race and although things didn’t turn out as we had hoped, I am thankful to each and everyone of you for the calls, texts and messages last night and today!

Should you have a yard sign I will be coming around and collecting them ASAP.

It’s back to work and doing what I love, which is protecting and serving!

My wife truly loves her job teaching. She has a selfless heart and wants her students to be all they can be. She’s the same way at home as she is at school. She strives and pushes us all to be the absolute best we can be. It makes me proud to see the impact she has on her students and those around her!!

Good Morning. We hope everyone had a blessed Mother’s Day.

Remember this is the last week of early voting through Friday, May 17 at the courthouse. Precinct voting will be May 21.

As many of you know I’ve been all around this county for the last several months visiting, and spending time talking with people in the community. I would love nothing more than to be able to carry on a conversation with each and every person in Grady County, but due to people’s schedules and not being at home I have just not been able to make contact with everyone. I am grateful for those that I have met with in each community as they have engaged in open communication with me regarding their feelings on things occurring in and around Grady County.

They have shared their input which I have made note of. I have explained to them some of my plans and goals. For those of you on Facebook who have not seen or heard of some of my plans here they are. Some say the sheriff is a position of authority which it is, but I look at the Sheriff as being a position of trust. I want you to trust me, so for those that already do, I say thank you, and I respect that trust. For those that don’t yet feel that way, I know I have to earn that trust and I will be focused on doing that the first 4 years.

As your sheriff I intend to meet with the officers and staff before January 1, 2025 to discuss our future goals as a team. January 1, 2025 every employees training will be evaluated and a determination of what they need to better themselves and be all that they can be will be addressed.

I’ve had discussion with our school Superintendent and one of my goals is to bring the C.H.A.M.P.S. (Choosing Healthy Activities and Methods Promoting safety) program to the Grady County School system. This is a program designed to essentially educate youth in the 5th grade middle school grade level on the dangers of drug abuse, bullying, peer pressure, etc. My belief is if we can save one child this program has been well worth it.

Another goal is to get more involved in the schools with boots on the ground walking hallways while working closely with the Grady County School Police Department the Cairo Police Department and the Whigham Police Department.

I am eager to develop an organized standard operating procedure with our local law enforcement partners so that in the event we ever have a critical incident at one of our schools in the future everyone knows their position and their duties because time will be of the essence!

I want to enhance and grow our drug investigations divisions while forming a partnership with all local law enforcement in an effort to combat drug abuse in our area. As we all know Criminal activity does not stop at the county line.

I want to be out and about in the community myself backing up deputies on calls, being visible, showing you that your Sheriff is there for you. As I have said before, my administration will be based on teamwork and trust. Trust, just like respect is an earned trait. The Grady County sheriffs office is your office. The person that you elect as Sheriff is who you look for to provide service and protection in our hometown. I humbly ask that you put your trust in me and allow me the opportunity to show you what I feel can be a great benefit to us all.

Good evening everyone. I hope you have had a good day. It’s been a beautiful day.

I wanted to take a minute and remind every one of the upcoming forum on Tuesday night at the Roddenberry Memorial Library auditorium. The forum will begin a 6 p.m and will feature myself and Earl Prince for the office of sheriff in Grady County.

Early voting has started and will run through May 17 at the Grady County Courthouse M-F 8-5 and next Saturday 9-5. Primary voting day at your precinct will be May 21 and will be decision day between the two of us. The winner of this race will go into the General election in November to face incumbent Harry Young.

Earl and I are on the Republican Ballot so therefore should you decide to vote for Sheriff in the primary you will need to request a Republican ballot.

I’ve said it since the beginning……. My campaign is based on truth and transparency. I will not sugarcoat anything or brush you off. You ask the question. You will get an answer. I cannot guarantee you will agree or like the answer, but you will get an answer. My entire career has been in preparation for this moment! I have many plans, thoughts and ideas. I could post them here, but honestly, you would get tired of reading about them. Many of you have reached out and inquired and asked questions along with providing input and I appreciate that. I have engaged in dialogue with many of you while visiting with you around the county and I have heard your concerns and made note of them. The one thing I can assure you of with 100% confidence is that you will not find anyone more focused, passionate and ready to tackle anything in front of him than I am, regarding our home of Grady County. I do it look at this as being a position of authority but one of trust. I want you to trust me and your sheriffs office.

I humbly ask for your support and vote to be YOUR Sheriff.

So I did a very important thing today! I voted for the BEST qualified person for Grady County Sheriff! Is he perfect? Absolutely not! Is he perfect for sheriff? YES! 👍 if you know me you know I can be shy and a person who keeps to myself most of the time, but I have to give credit where credit is DUE! My husband has prayed, planned, and trained to become your next sheriff! He is one of the most honest, transparent people I know! The Lord has surely blessed me when he allowed mine and Steve’s paths to cross. Steve is a hard working man that is dedicated to his job and everyone around him. Steve sees about me, his mom and his children on a daily basis! He loves people and he loves making a difference! Is he one who can please everyone? NO! Does he listen and try? YES? I ask that you reach out to him if you have questions and concerns! Will he make you happy? Maybe, maybe not, but he will be honest with you! Does he love Grady County? The answer to that question honestly is….. you will not find a person more passionate about the future of Grady County than Steve Clark. Yes, I am biased because he is my husband. I have the opportunity to see and hear his thoughts and ideas every day. I am asking that YOU go exercise your right and vote!! I also ask that you vote CLARK for your sheriff. Steve, I thank you for loving me, caring for me and my boys, and for going after your DREAMS! Every day you are a winner to me……please know that!!

Remember to stay strong in your faith. Rely on your family. There are people out in this old world with hidden agendas that live to cause drama or try to bring others down so they can rise up. There are so many diseases out here now affecting people. In a world full of negative, lol try and deliver positives. Stay focused on what truly matters.

The “ signs” are everywhere!

This election is about so many things.

The largest one in my mind is about the future of Grady County. I’m not trying to say we are going to dry up and blow away, but whether we like it or not or even agree with it, changes are coming. We can sit back and allow them to just happen or we can help steer those changes to benefit our communities. I am ready to accept the challenge of being your next sheriff of Grady County. I am ready to go to work January 01, 2025 and deliver service that you can believe in.

I go back to some things. My daddy used to tell me that really didn’t make sense growing up, but make a whole lot of sense now. One of the things he said was “any day that goes by you don’t learn something was a wasted day”. I try to learn something, regardless of what it may be, every day. He also used to say “a Penny saved is better than a penny earned”.
I Intend to take both of these handed down from my father and apply them. Should you elect me to be your sheriff you will receive a benefit of me constantly looking at ways to improve our functionality and service, while watching our bottom line. I have watched my bottom line during this campaign by investing more in a one on one approach and asking personally for votes and support. It is been a pleasure to meet new people that have just came to Grady County. I would love to have met with every individual, shake every hand and carry on conversation with everyone, but with our conflicting schedules and all, I have not been able to. All of the people I have met with have been wonderful and we have engaged in wonderful dialogue. They have expressed concerns, desires and thoughts regarding the sheriffs office and Grady County. Those have been made note of and will be addressed. I have met many retired law enforcement from other states and other agencies that have shared thoughts and ideas right here in Grady County.

I have spent almost 27 years in loyal service as a deputy sheriff. I have taken every training class offered regarding the operation of a Georgia Sheriffs Office in an effort to make myself be the best I can be as well as building my resume for this occasion! I have performed every task at the Sheriffs Office with the exception of Sheriff, but was the #2 person for 8 years handling the day to day operations.

I am committed and prepared to take on what the future brings as your sheriff of Grady County and humbly ask for your vote in this election to show you how passionate I am about our future!

As many of you know, tomorrow starts early voting, as well as being the first day for the future of Grady County. I want to take a moment just to share with everyone that I understand you may have a difficult decision this year regarding elections. I know people will vote because of friendship, who they like or don’t like, or qualifications, etc!. That’s the beauty of our society. You the individual are able to make the decision on who you want to vote for and support. The issue at hand is to express it though and cast your vote…..

To quote an old friend of mine. “While I know I cannot get every vote, it sure would be nice to have yours!!”
