Trigg Middle

Trigg County Middle School is excited to welcome back Coach Cy Dossett as our Head Middle School Football Coach. Coach Dossett previously served Trigg County Schools as a Middle School P.E. teacher and Middle School Athletic Director.

Coach Dossett brings a strong background in football and leadership to our program. He played collegiately at Bethel University and was also a member of the Trigg County High School football coaching staff. Most recently, he has been heavily involved in coaching and organizing the Trigg County Youth Football League, where many of our students and families have had the opportunity to know and play for him.

Coach Dossett and his wife, Kristin, are proud parents of three boys — Mason, Clint, and Case — who all attend Trigg County Schools. Their family has deep roots in our community and a strong passion for supporting Trigg County students and athletics.

We are thrilled to have Coach Dossett back at TCMS and look forward to the positive impact he will have on our student-athletes and football program. Please join us in welcoming Coach Dossett and wish him luck toward a successful upcoming season!

There will be a meeting this Wednesday at 5:30 at the Co-curricular building for anyone interested in playing on the golf team next year. You must be entering into the 7th grade to be eligible to participate.

Congratulations to Gavin Schrock and Cash King for winning 2nd place in the KHSAA bass fishing tournament today. Not bad for a couple of 7th graders. TCMS is proud of you and this amazing accomplishment!

Thank you to the James Thomas chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for coming by yesterday and delivering snacks to our staff in honor of teacher appreciation week.

Congratulations to Mrs. Birdsong for being given Will the Wildcat by Mrs. Gootee making Mrs. Birdsong the TCMS employee of the week. We appreciate all she does to support students both in the classroom as a special Ed teacher, but also as our TCMS cheerleading coach.

Congratulations to these students for being chosen by their teachers as the students of the week for their grade level. They have been chosen for following their Trigg expectations and for excelling in the classroom. We celebrated them last week. We apologize for the late posting.

Today we had our KSA rally where we recognized students who earned a proficient/distinguished on last year’s KSA state assessment. The teachers and administrators also wished all of our students good luck on this year’s test. We played games, had a school spirit contest, and shared motivational posters. 7th grade was our overall rally winner and will earn an extra outdoor break to spend time with friends.
