⚠️A message from the Battle of Byron⚠️

"Dear Community Members, Sponsors, Vendors, and Attendees,

After closely monitoring the weather, we have made the decision to delay the start of the 2026 Battle of Byron Festival by one hour. The festival will now begin at 11:00 AM.

This brief delay will allow the majority of the rain to move through, helping ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for everyone.

Please note, this is the only change to the schedule. All events and activities will proceed as planned, just beginning one hour later.

The new event times will be 11:00 am - 7:00 pm

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing everyone at 11:00 AM for a great day at the Battle of Byron.

Peach County educators attended an Opioid Prevention Summit hosted by Rotary District 6920 this past Friday. The turnout was amazing, and we were told the food was great! Not the reason to attend, but certainly a bonus!

The focus:

Healing Communities Through Harm Reduction (Naloxone)
Secure and Safe: Removing the Risk Via Disposal and Safe Storage
Strength in Numbers: Youth Prevention
Someone to Call: 988 Crisis Lifeline for Substance Use Disorders
Employer Education

So amazing getting to meet our contestants for the Preston Johnson Speech Competition this past Saturday! Here are our winners! First Place, Daisy Boyt - Back Right. I had so much fun reading to the 2nd graders at Byron Elementary School this morning. Each month, we have one of our Byron Rotary Club members pick a day and we read to a different class each morning for an entire week. The class this morning had so many great questions. We definitely have some future leaders in our schools!
