Supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, this hands-on program gives students a first-hand look at the many exciting and rewarding career paths in agricultural sciences. There will be an FFA meeting after school tomorrow until 4:30pm.

🌟 Georgia FFA State Convention 🌟
April 23 - April 25, 2026

This past Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Byron Middle FFA attended the 98th Georgia FFA State Convention at the Macon Coliseum!

Each day students had the opportunity to meet other FFA members from across the state and attend general sessions conducted by the Georgia State FFA Officers!

A few of our students were voting delegates at some of the sessions. Voting delegates got to play a critical role in helping select the next year’s Georgia FFA state officer team!

Students also had the opportunity to explore various careers, colleges, and post-secondary opportunities at the Career Expo on Thursday and Friday.

We can’t wait for next year! 💛💙

On April 24, during the third general session of the Georgia FFA Convention, Byron Middle FFA’s very own, Emmalee Lewis, was recognized on stage for being the Area 3 Winner for her Natural Resource Systems Record Book, placing top 6 in the state.

Emmalee completed her record book over her experience learning the ends and out of a working saw mill at her grandfathers. She was able to gain knowledge on tree selection and then the process of turning the trees into useable lumber.

We are so proud of Emmalee and all her hard work and dedication to this project. We are very excited to see her continue this project on into high school. 💙💛

The FFA meeting that was originally scheduled for tomorrow, April 21, has been postponed. It will be rescheduled for a later date. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause!

As soon as the new date is decided, it will be posted on our social medias and announced to students at school!

We are so proud of Emmalee and her hard work and dedication to her SAE project!💛💙
