Compelled by God’s deep passion for justice & mercy, we join communities around the world to renew hope, reconcile lives, and restore creation.

This week, World Renew Co-Directors Carol Bremer-Bennett and Peter Timmerman presented at the Christian Reformed Church in North America - CRCNA's annual Synod.

They shared stories of how churches, volunteers, supporters, and partners are helping renew hope around the world through disaster response, refugee sponsorship, clean water, sustainable livelihoods, and disability inclusion.

As Carol shared, “This is not separate from the Gospel; it flows from it.”

We are grateful for the faithful support of churches and communities who continue to join in God’s work of renewal.

This Father’s Day, we are giving thanks for fathers and father figures like Nestor.

Nestor lives in Tanzania with his wife and children. When he talks about caring for his family, he uses a simple image: every car needs a driver.

But Nestor’s story is not only about leadership. It is also about partnership, wise decisions, and the support that helped his family move forward when they needed it most, alongside World Renew and our local partner, The Africa Inland Church Tanzania - AICT .

Today, we give thanks for the fathers and father figures who show love through guidance, humility, and care.

Some father figures enjoy gardening. Some are happiest with a toolbox handy. Some always make sure everyone has enough to eat. And some are simply the GOAT. 🐐

This Father’s Day, choose a gift that reminds you of the father figure in your life while helping someone else build a stronger future.

A meaningful gift can be a simple way to honour a dad, grandfather, mentor, or other father figure who has made a difference in your life.

Summer often reminds us of simple blessings.

💧 Clean water to drink
🌱 A garden that keeps growing
🍽️ Meals shared with family
🤝 Neighbours showing up for one another
🏡 A safe place to live
🌤️ Hope that lasts beyond the season

For many of us, these may feel connected to summer days. But for communities around the world, they are part of daily life, daily work, and daily hope.

Which of these blessings are you especially grateful for today?

Today, the world turns its attention to soccer. ⚽

As the World Cup begins, we are reminded how one game can connect people across countries, cultures, and languages.

In communities around the world, young people are also experiencing the joy of soccer through teamwork, friendship, mentorship, and belonging.

That is something worth celebrating.

👀 We’d love to know who you are cheering for this month.

A few smiles from around the world to brighten your day.

Which photo made you smile the biggest?

A road built with many hands. A smile that says it all.

In Nueva Suyapa, a neighbourhood in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, families worked together to build a concrete road with support from World Renew. For Obed, 5, it means a smoother path for everyday life and new adventures close to home. 💛

Join us in cheering on the neighbours who made it happen.

Before a trailer pulls out.

Before a tool is handed to a volunteer.

Before the work begins in a community recovering from disaster.

There is preparation happening here.

Every Wednesday, the World Renew - Disaster Response Services warehouse crew shows up to inspect, repair, and organize the equipment that helps make disaster response possible.

And in between the work, there is time for conversation, friendship, and maybe a coffee or two. ☕️

It is quiet work, but it carries a lot of care. We are grateful for the volunteers who faithfully serve behind the scenes and help make restoration possible. 💚

601 bicycles. Countless places to go. 🚲

Because of gifts given through last year’s U.S. Gift Catalog, children received bicycles that can help make everyday trips a little easier and a little brighter.

This World Bicycle Day, we’re celebrating every donor who helped share this kind of practical love.

The finish line is not always the point.

For many adolescents in World Renew’s Youth Running Clubs, the real growth happens in the moments between each run. It happens when a coach listens, when a child feels brave enough to try again, when friendships form, and when young people begin to believe they have a future worth running toward.

Ahead of Global Running Day, we are celebrating the kind of movement that builds confidence, resilience, and hope.

We are grateful for We Run We Rise ’s support, the local leadership of Anglican Development Services Pwani - ADS Pwani, ADS Mt. Kenya, and KA Television’s help in capturing and sharing these stories.

One step. One mentor. One young life at a time. 💜
