Just a couple more things before the big reopening. We, at The Mane Getaway, had a meeting to discuss working together on all the new guidelines. For now, we are asking that you wait out in your car until we can come out and get you, as we will no longer have a waiting area. We will ask you a few questions about how you are feeling or have been feeling. We will also be asking if you have been out of the state. If you are feeling ill or have been out of the state we will ask that you reschedule. We will only be scheduling one client at a time. This way you know your safety is our priority, and that we have ample time to keep our areas sanitized and disinfected. Unfortunately, this is creating a little wait in some clients getting in. Please be patient with us, we are working very hard to get you in as fast as possible. We are strongly recommending that clients wear a mask, as is the health dept. If this is something that makes you uncomfortable, we can discuss other options. We will have sanitizer at every station along with right when you walk in the door, please use it. For the time being, we will not be taking walk-ins. If you need to make an appointment, you can call the salon at 782-5121. We are excited to start seeing all of you and believe that together we can all transition into this new way of living, smoothly. Monday, April 27th is the day! I am excited to announce that the girls at The Mane Getaway will be allowed to start seeing clients again. This will be a new transition for all of us, as we will be working extra hard to ensure the safety of our clients and staff. Please be patient as we try to get all of you an appointment, in a timely manner. We will only be booking one client per cosmetologist. This will take a little more time for us to get all of you in. We will be asking clients to wait in their cars until we can let them know it is time to come in. We ask if you have been feeling ill in any way to please reschedule for a later date. Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding from the beginning. We are all so lucky that we have clients that are so good to us in the good and bad times. Can't wait to see you all!!!!!!
To all of our amazing clients, this is the hardest decision our salon has had to make together. We will be closing there doors tonight for at least a week as of right now. The safety of our clients and staff is #1. We can not understand why this has not been a state decision and want to be proactive in preventing any illness. We want our clients to know how important they are and this is how we prove this to you. This was not an easy decision by any means and understand not everyone will be happy. We will be contacting each client directly throughout the next few days. At the end of this we will work extra hard in getting everyone back in, in a timely manner and hope that everyone understands this our decision in this. We thank all of you for your understanding and can't wait to get all of you back in our chairs. Take care of yourselves during this time and we will take care of you after all of this!
Dear clients and friends, in light of the Covid-19 outbreak, we are asking that if you have an appt please come alone. We can not allow visitors at this time, so that we can keep numbers in the salon down and are able to keep an ample amount of space between each client. If you are someone that gets a ride please have your driver wait in the car. If you are bringing a child, please one parent at a time. If we believe we will be over 10 people in the salon at one time, we may be calling to reschedule at last minute. If you are feeling ill in any way please cancel, please try to help everyone stay safe! We appreciate all of you so much and even more so are grateful for your understanding through this confusing and uneasy time. Be well friends!

In light of the recent developments with the COVID-19 virus we wanted to take this opportunity to communicate with you our existing practices and additional steps we have implemented in order to keep you and our staff healthy, safe and comfortable. As always, it is our top priority to keep you looking and feeling your best, and we are committed to exceeding your expectations in this time.
No matter the time of year or situation we face, as a business we are required to follow strict guidelines to ensure that we have an environment that is clean and sanitized. These occupational health and safety regulations include:
- washing our hands between each client
- sanitizing our implements and tools
- disinfecting our stations, shampoo area, and front desk, counter tops, treatment rooms, back bar areas, break rooms and bathrooms frequently as guests move through their experience in our space.
Additionally, we have added the following steps to support us all during this time and beyond:
- Frequent disinfecting of high touch areas including the front door, point of sale computer, product display and all door handles and styling chairs.
- We have implemented additional sanitation measures in our kitchen area for dishes that are used by staff and guests.
- We require each staff person to wash their hands and use hand sanitizer when they arrive at the salon and as needed throughout their schedule.
- We have a 24-hour cancellation policy in place in which we require a dayโs notice should you need to cancel your appointment. Please let us know if you are unwell so we may cancel your appointment and adjust the schedule accordingly.
- Likewise, we ask for your patience in this time should staff illness require we reschedule your appointments. We will always do our best to move your appointment to another team member if you wish.
- We will be mindful of physical touch such as shaking hands and hugging and will ask permission or refrain. Please feel confident in your response. We want you to feel comfortable.
We are all in this together and we need your help with the following:
- Please wash your hands as you arrive to the salon.
- If you are ill or feel sick, please stay home and reschedule
- If you make your payment in cash or tip in cash, please wash your hands or use our complimentary hand sanitizer before you leave
- Please notify our support team or managers if you see anyone demonstrating poor hygiene or health habits
We will continue to monitor developing conditions and precautionary instructions put in place by The Center for Disease Control (CDC) and adjust our care systems as needed.
We want you to know that we are a safe, clean and sanitary environment and at times like this we are here to help you keep this portion of your life and routine normal and comforting. Let us take care of you, and by your presence youโll do the same for us.
