We are over at the Butte-Silver Bow Public Library today with *FREE* DIY Air Purifiers to give away on the last day of Smoke Ready week! Come to the library today, Friday June 12th, and get your fan, filter, and air quality info before wildfire season starts 🔥
🔥On the final day of Smoke Preparedness Week, we're thinking about getting our Smoke Ready Plans together! Before wildfire season starts, think about making your own checklist with some of the following items:
1. Gather supplies (medicines, indoor activities, purifiers, etc.)
2. Practice monitoring air quality.
3. Talk to your doctor about management of health conditions.
4. Set up your home’s clean indoor air room.
5. Plan for your pets’ needs too!

Wildfire Smoke Preparedness Week - Day Four!🔥Wildfire smoke can put a bummer in summer :( We know it's not always easy! Here are just a few reminders on how we can coexist with smoky days the best we can.
Make a list of indoor places to go around town or in nearby towns! Libraries, YMCAs, movie theaters, arcades, and museums are some low-cost or free options that we have right here in Butte and Anaconda.
Remember that the smoke won't last forever, even though it feels that way. Make a "clean air" bucket list of all the things you want to do as soon as the smoke clears to give yourself something to look forward to!
Self care is important - sleep, water, etc. It really does help 🩷
And if you or someone you know is experiencing significant mental health struggles during wildfire smoke events, reach out to your doctor or call the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline for support.
