Butte health officials create plan in prep for smoky wildfire season The Butte Health Department, along with the EPA, is putting together an informational plan that people will soon be able to access to get updates on air quality and what they can do to protect themselves.

Butte-Silver Bow Health Department heads wildfire smoke health response plan The Butte-Silver Bow Health Department will be coming out with a health plan to respond to wildfires next week. May 2-6 is recognized as National Air Quality Week.

We are seeing an uptick in Norovirus ( commonly referred to as “stomach bug”) cases here in BSB. We want to remind our food service or child care workers that any employees exhibiting symptoms of vomiting or diarrhea must be excluded until symptom free for at least 48 hours.
Norovirus is the leading cause of illness and outbreaks from contaminated food in the United States. It takes very few particles to infect a large amount of people.
