“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…” — Mark 10:45
Our Student Leadership Team recently returned from an incredible missions trip to Through the Roof Disability Camp at Bambi Lake in Roscommon, Michigan—a week that left a lasting impact on every heart involved.
Throughout the week, each student was paired with a child or young adult with disabilities, walking alongside them through every activity, meal, and evening event. While our students were there to serve, they quickly discovered they were learning just as much in return. Their presence also gave parents and caregivers the opportunity to participate in camp activities, build friendships, and enjoy moments of rest, knowing their loved ones were being cared for.
It was a week filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories—from carnival games and fishing to a reptile show, talent show, dancing, and so much more. To celebrate the end of an amazing week, the team also visited beautiful Mackinac Island before making the trip home.
Most importantly, our students witnessed the incredible strength, unconditional love, and unwavering dedication of families caring for children and young adults with disabilities. The compassion, gratitude, and friendships that grew throughout the week are reminders that serving others not only blesses those around us—it transforms our own hearts as well.
Thank you to everyone who prayed for, encouraged, and supported our Student Leadership Team throughout the year. Your generosity made this opportunity possible, and we are grateful for the opportunity our students had to be the hands and feet of Christ, reflecting His love through acts of service, compassion, and kindness. We praise God for the lives He touched and for the lasting impact this experience has had on our students.
Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who faithfully lead, love, and support the children in their lives.
Today we celebrate the strength, guidance, sacrifice, and encouragement you provide each day. Thank you for being an example of God’s love and for helping shape the next generation with wisdom and faith.
“The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.” — Proverbs 20:7
May God bless you today and always as you continue to lead your families and leave a lasting legacy of faith.
Happy Father’s Day from all of us at First Baptist Christian School!

🎉 Congratulations to First Baptist Christian School 5th grader, Cecilia Dahl! 🎉
We are incredibly proud to celebrate Cecilia’s outstanding achievement in the American Legion Auxiliary Essay Contest!
Cecilia earned 1st Place in her division locally and went on to win 1st Place overall in Butler County, earning two $100 cash awards for her exceptional writing.
This year’s national essay theme was “Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday and the Veterans Who Fought for Our Freedom.” Essays were judged on grammar, organization, content, adherence to the theme, and overall quality.
To ensure fairness, entries were judged anonymously and identified only by bird names rather than student names. In addition to her cash awards, Cecilia received commemorative keepsakes featuring her assigned bird.
We commend Cecilia for her hard work, dedication, and excellent representation of First Baptist Christian School. We are also thankful for teachers like Mrs. Crystal Adamosky, who encourage and inspire our students to strive for excellence.
Please join us in congratulating Cecilia on this remarkable accomplishment! 👏🇺🇸🦅
