Hi everyone, It's Jenna, your 2026-2027 Butler County Dairy Princess. As we finish out the month of July, I want to thank everyone for making our first 2 months of Dairy promoting an amazing success. My court and I had 45 promotional events in June and July. From attending fair, visiting with seniors at different senior centers, to reading a book and passing out ice cream at children events, our mission is the same--Promote the dairy industry.
I understand the hard work and commitment that dairy farm families give to the industry. Growing up on a dairy farm, I see first hand the long hours when my pap arrives at the farm at 430 every morning and doesn't leave until 530 pm---that's 13 hours most days (he would get his forty hours in quickly if we had a 40 hour work week). I see my gram juggle milking, mowing all the grass, house work and helping to care for my great grandma. I see my aunt learn to deal with the stress of owning the farm and planning for her daughter's wedding at the farm. I see my cousin gaining experience as a full time farmer while trying to keep her cool when her mom and pap both tell her to do different things.
I see the stress and worry about planting, hay making in between rainy days, the health of the herd, and the price of milk/expenses.
However, I also see the awesome things of farming families. Our family has 3 generations working together every day. Some of my favorite times are when my gram, aunt, cousin, sisters, and I eat our breakfast and chat. It's that time together that builds our closeness.
The helping hand of neighbors and farming community is another amazing thing. When my pap was diagnosed with cancer in February of 2025, we were overwhelmed with his treatments and farming. In order for my pap to focus on his health, he had to know that the farm was taken care of. My gram had to focus on my pap so that left the majority of the work load to my aunt and cousin. The awesome farming community, stepped up and offered lots of help. They sent cards and food but also came to help fix things or offer a hand with planting. It made me proud to see how many people would drop everything to help because of the love and respect they had for my grandfather.
So as I am promoting the wonderful dairy industry and everything it offers, I am mainly promoting the farm life I grew up in. I know milk safety and healthy cows are a top priority for dairy farmers. I know that our community involvement is what led to the out-pour of support for my pap. And I know that milk/dairy does a body good. The 13 essential nutrients from dairy support your whole body (bones, teeth, eyes, muscles and more).
I hope to see you all in August as we continue to support and promote the dairy industry and all the benefits of dairy. Be sure to stop by the milk shake booth by the dairy barns when you head out to the Butler Farm Show coming up August 10-15 and be sure to look for me as I have a few free coupons for milkshakes to hand out (it can help you get 1 of the 3 servings of dairy you should get every day!!).

I recently had the opportunity to attend the Pennsylvania Dairy Princess Seminar, where I learned so much about the Dairy Princess Program, the dairy industry, and how to become an even better advocate for our hardworking dairy farmers. It was an incredible experience that gave me new ideas, built my confidence, and helped prepare me for the State Dairy Princess Pageant.
I’m so grateful for the friendships I made, the knowledge I gained, and everyone who took the time to teach and encourage us throughout the seminar. As I continue representing Butler County, I’m excited to share the importance of dairy with our community and to help educate others about the nutritious dairy products we enjoy every day.
Thank you to our dairy farm families for your dedication and hard work. Everything you do makes a difference, and I’m proud to represent you. Don’t forget to enjoy three servings of dairy each day and support your local dairy farmers!

Can dairy help you get to the world cup?
Yes, dairy can help get you to the world cup (along with some awesome soccer skills!) Dairy provides a complete combination of carbohydrates to fuel running, protein to repair muscles, and electrolytes for hydration. It is a highly effective, natural post-exercise recovery food that helps players build strength and replenish essential nutrients lost during a match.
So drink milk and practice your soccer skills and maybe we will be cheering for you in the next world cup!!!
