A Milestone Exhibit is Coming to The Maridon Museum!
This summer, we are proud to present a special display of personal items from our founder, Mary Hulton Phillips, and the Phillips family, as part of the Steeples and Stacks Heritage Weekend.
Mary and her husband, Donald, were members of the T.W. Phillips Gas and Oil Company family, a cornerstone of the Butler community. That company lives on today as Peoples TWP, still serving our region.
On Display: July 10 - August 30, 2026

We're heading out a little early today!
Please note that The Maridon Museum will close at 2:30 PM today (Friday, June 12), so our team can join in the Jeep Festival celebration.
For this , we're revisiting our 2015 Jeep design, a creative tribute to Butler's proud Jeep heritage and The Maridon's unique spirit.

"Look โ Nemo!" That's what kids say when they spot this little gem in our Side Gallery. ๐
This charming s***f bottle was carved from amber with a coral mouth, and it's been part of The Maridon family since 2007 when our Founder, Mary Hulton Phillips, discovered 33 unique s***f bottles at auction and brought them all home. Thanks to our dedicated Collections Committee, they now have a permanent exhibit all their own.
Can you find the "Nemo" bottle when you visit? Come see for yourself!

๐ Throwback + Important Notice!
The Maridon Museum will be closing at 2 pm this Friday, June 12th, for the 15th Anniversary Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival (June 12-14, 2026)!
But first, a little throwback! Four years ago, our intern Alexandrea Gray of Slippery Rock University did an incredible job getting our Jeep ready for the Annual Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival. She scraped, sanded, and designed the Jeep from scratch, choosing a beautiful Imari style that perfectly embodied The Maridon Museum. We were so grateful for her time and talents! Michel Booser also played a big part in making it all come together.

On October 15, 2011, Boy Scout Troop 6 paid us a visit at the Maridon Museum and we have never forgotten it! The scouts toured the museum, enjoyed some donuts, and even planted tulips right out front. Those little bulbs were a small gesture that meant so much to us.
Thank you to Troop 6 for spending part of your day with us all those years ago. We love when our community comes through our doors!
Planning a group visit? We would love to have you!

Jackie's love of tea began when she received her first teapot set at age 6, and she never looked back. Tonight she's bringing her passion and knowledge to The Maridon for a fascinating presentation that travels from the historic Boston Tea Party all the way to the beauty and philosophy of the Japanese Tea Ceremony.

This Week's Featured Art: Fukurokuju, the Japanese God of Longevity! ๐ฆ
Fukurokuju is one of Japan's most beloved deities, a symbol of long life, wisdom, and good fortune. He carries a sacred peach of immortality and is accompanied by a gentle spotted deer representing peace and harmony.
This beautiful piece spent many years in the home of our museum's founder, Mary Hulton Phillips, before finding its permanent home in the Rear Gallery. It's a treasure worth seeing up close!
Join us at The Maridon Museum and meet Fukurokuju and his deer companion in person.
