Hello,

My name is Denise Masters, and I own Makers Market & Events Center LLC inside Clearview Mall in Butler.

On Monday, June 1, 2026, MMEC will be celebrating our 3rd year in business. We are an all-handmade arts and crafts consignment store with over 50 local makers, 24+ classes hosted, more than 6,500 customers and families who have visited, and a large variety of handmade items.

I started MMEC because I wanted to bring different makers together, help them sell their items, get to know one another, and work together to grow stronger. Over the past three years, many of the makers in our shop have become close friends. Some even volunteer their time, help run the store, and give me time off to be with my family. I am so grateful to the people who have helped MMEC grow in so many ways.

As we move into our next chapter, I would love for MMEC to become an even bigger creative space — with a larger store, larger event area, more display room, a bigger make-n-take area, and a place where local makers can get together and swap craft items.

I also want MMEC to be a place where families can come and enjoy meaningful time together without breaking the pocketbook. We hope to continue growing with more classes, more local makers, more kids’ and family activities, birthday parties, field trips, senior groups, homeschool groups, community partnerships, and special events.

We are also looking for more instructors who would like to teach classes and share their talents with the community.

I think this could be a nice local business and community story for June, especially because MMEC supports local makers, families, creativity, and handmade art in Butler County.

I would love to invite someone to visit MMEC, see the store, meet some of our makers, and learn more about where we are heading.
