Baking Soda Spider Web Slime
Ingredients:
1 cup white school glue
1 cup water
1 teaspoon baking soda
2–3 tablespoons contact lens solution (must contain boric acid)
Black food coloring (optional, for spooky color)
White yarn, string, or cotton pulled into thin strands (for “webs”)
Plastic spider rings or small toy spiders (optional)
Directions:
Mix Glue & Water: In a large bowl, combine the white school glue and water. Stir until smooth.
Add Baking Soda: Mix in the baking soda to help thicken your slime base.
Color It (Optional): If you’d like dark, spooky slime, add a few drops of black food coloring and stir until evenly colored.
Activate the Slime: Add the contact lens solution a little at a time, stirring well. The slime will start to pull away from the sides of the bowl. Add more solution if it’s too sticky.
Knead the Slime: Use your hands to knead until it’s stretchy and smooth.
Add the Web Effect: Tear small bits of white yarn or cotton and mix them into the slime. This gives a tangled, web-like look.
Creepy Crawlers (Optional): Drop in toy spiders or spider rings to make it extra spooky.
