Keep it professional… no talk about religion or politics is what they tell you in school… but I come across so many people during the day.. I wouldn’t be doing my job as a Christian if I didn’t try to speak truth to the people who sit in my chair. There have been a few times that I could tell a client shut down a bit and I can tell that they don’t want to speak about the topic so I politely shut my mouth and change the subject.. it’s not my job to convert anyone only to spread the truth and show what the lord has done in my life.. I want them to know that there is a God that we can come to… lay all of our burdens at his feet and know that we will be taken care of no matter what the outcome is. That they are so loved and adored & he will never stop pursuing them. I pray daily that God will use the Holy Spirit to guide my conversations. It’s not always a long talk & sometimes I don’t say anything about God or Jesus at all.. I just lead with my actions. The distorted world view paints Christians to be these patriotic bigots who have no tolerance.. but the truth is Christianity is a place where the broken people belong… where the sinners belong.. because no one’s perfect. When one of my clients is struggling I speak truth to her and remind her what God says.. not what the world says.
