Listed these new items in the shop this morning- love that the mixed materials are all different, but somehow they work! Custom colors are available in the cotton rope and felt rosettes items. https://mycabininthepines.etsy.com/listing/1680162777
Hi all! It's been a while, hasn't it? I never REALLY left, and I never really lost my love of crafting, of creating things. But life happens... here are some updates! Long post ahead...
In 2018, I went back to work full time. That was a huge life change for me! I admire the moms who balance it all SO much, because for me...I struggled to find my way. I felt like if I was doing my best at work, I was slacking at home, and if I was killing it at home, I had NO time to spend doing what made me happy. And all of this while still making my kids the number one priority, which thankfully, I was still pretty good at.
After riding the struggle bus for several years, I came to the conclusion that I did NOT have to do it all. I did not have to be perfect at everything. I could spend time doing things that brought me joy, and still be a good mom. I could let the dishes sit til morning, and the world wouldn't end! But I had to make some changes...
I had to manage my time better. I had to make the things that brought me joy more of a priority, even if it meant I picked up my knitting for five minutes today.
I no longer set up at craft shows- I sell exclusively on Etsy. Craft shows were fun, but I no longer have enough free time for that. I make at my own pace, and that pace doesn't allow for craft show levels of inventory. Plus, weekends are time with my husband and kids. My children are getting older, and their time living here with me is getting shorter every day- anything that prevents me from soaking up that time with them is not something I'm interested in.
So this page will be a little different now! But I hope you'll be along for the ride.
