Hello all you yinzers out there in DraftBurgh. The Original Yinzer Dogs location in Cranberry will be closed this week because our hot dog and French fry experts will be serving tens of thousands of hungry Yinzers and Yinzer-wanna-bes at the NFL Draft this week. Look for the Orignal Yinzer food truck at the Arts Landing and PITT alumni hanging out with us (a few hometown PITT superstars, too!).

And...yinz just wait until next week when we're back in our Cranberry restaurant, where we will be sharing new menu items - this time with a REAL 100% BEEF hot dog - just like the old times, but with a modern flair. It's a bigger, better bite.

Cranberry is a bubbling cauldron of restaurant activity, attracting both local entrepreneurs and national chains.

Within the past year, popular local food trucks Vitalia Wood Fired Oven and the Original Yinzer Dogs found brick-and-mortar homes in Butler County. National chains like Kyuramen, Mission BBQ, Cold Stone Creamery and Jersey Mike’s have opened restaurants in the township, with a Shake Shack on the way.

“Anyone that’s gauging activity throughout the country, they tend to find us because there’s so much happening here,” said Ron Henshaw, Cranberry’s director of planning and development services.

With the township’s population increasing at a “nice and steady” 1.6-1.7% annually, Henshaw said, and a parallel rise in residential construction, restaurants, retail stores and other businesses are “chasing rooftops.”
