The 2026 Emerging Voices Directors Lab, presented by the New Orleans Film Society, is a six-month fellowship supporting 5 emerging Louisiana-based Directors of Color.

Running May 2026–Nov 2027, fellows develop a film project while advancing their careers with a $2,000 unrestricted stipend, a four-day New Orleans retreat with workshops + mentorship from established directors, virtual check-ins, and an invitation to the 2027 New Orleans Film Festival.

Eligibility:
– Full-time Louisiana resident
– Director of Color
– Short doc, narrative, or hybrid projects at any stage
