World-building matters.

When we filmed Premonition, Marcel and I took photos together because our characters were supposed to have a past. In the story, we weren’t just two people in a scene — we were former lovers. So the world around us needed to reflect that.

Why wouldn’t there be pictures in the house?
Why wouldn’t there be memories?
Why wouldn’t there be flashbacks?

As a filmmaker and producer, you have to think beyond the main scene. You have to build the entire world of the film — the photos on the wall, the B-roll, the memories, the way the characters looked back then, where they were, what their relationship felt like, and how the audience can feel that history without you having to explain everything.

Those little details breathe life into a film.

Sometimes the story is in the background before it ever reaches the dialogue.

Abstract Storm Productions is now seeking a small, reliable crew for the upcoming Michigan short film ***Two to Tango***, written and directed by **Tabia Ellis**.

*Two to Tango* is a darkly comedic psychological drama exploring marriage, ambition, race, class, power, and what people are willing to become in order to gain access.

**Location:** Flint / Grand Blanc / Detroit area
**Shoot Dates:** May dates TBD
**Shoot Schedule:** Daytime hours planned
**Production Type:** Independent short film
