St. Mark Christian Montessori School provides a unique educational experience incorporating Christian values with the Montessori curriculum.

Saint Mark Christian School provides a rigorous, relevant and engaging education to children in all areas of life: spiritual, social, emotional, language, science, math, physical, sensorial and practical life. Serving children ages 6wks-12yrs old, including a Kindergarten and Elementary program, we recognize this age as a critical time to instill God’s love and the thrill to learn.

Our students have been diving into the world of the Pilgrims and early colonial America! After learning about the Mayflower and what life was like for the Pilgrims when they first arrived, they took their knowledge a step further with an exciting hands-on STEM challenge.

Students engineered and constructed their own “Mayflowers” using everyday materials. Each boat designed to float and hold 102 pennies, representing the 102 passengers aboard the real Mayflower. Science and history truly came to life as they tested, redesigned, and problem-solved their way to a seaworthy model!

To extend the learning across disciplines, our art classes explored how to draw a ship in a bottle, focusing on lines, symmetry, and shading to create depth and bring their artwork to life.

At St. Mark, subjects aren’t taught in isolation, they connect, overlap, and enrich one another to create a holistic, meaningful, Christ-centered education.

In Montessori, language learning begins through touch and movement — children trace sandpaper letters, then practice writing Bible verses and letters on paper to bring sound and symbol to life.

As they grow, they build words with the movable alphabet, match objects to names, and explore stories using phonetic cards, grammar symbols, and reading materials that make language joyful and meaningful.

Step by step, they move from concrete to abstract, developing literacy skills that grow stronger and deeper because they’re built through hands-on discovery.

The Hundred Board is one of those Montessori materials that makes math click! Children start by placing numbers in order from 1 to 100, noticing patterns and how numbers build one another.

What begins as hands-on counting soon turns into real understanding — skip counting, place value, and even early multiplication start to make sense naturally.

It’s amazing to watch their confidence grow as they master a new math skill each time.

In Montessori, even the smallest lessons help children grow in big ways. The buckle and tie frames are a favorite — they let children practice skills they see every day, like buckling shoes, fastening belts, and tying bows.

At first, it takes focus and patience, but before long, those little fingers move with confidence! Each new frame mastered builds independence — and a sense of “I can do it!” that carries into everything they do.

As Dr. Montessori said, “Never help a child with a task at which he feels he can succeed.”

Our students have been diving deep into Charlotte's Web. After reading, analyzing, and discussing the novel, they explored its themes and even connected the lessons to Christianity—especially friendship, sacrifice, and unconditional love.

To bring the story to life, students designed creative frames showing what Wilbur sees from his point of view as he looks out of his barn—of course, Charlotte in her web is a beautiful part of his world. Many of them said that just as Charlotte watches over Wilbur, God watches over us too ❤️

They also built detailed dioramas of scenes from the story, showing their understanding, creativity, and love for this classic novel.

In the middle of recess, our students started joyfully singing “Our God Is an Awesome God” together.

These are the sweet, spirit-filled moments we’ll never forget. If you’re looking for a school community where faith, joy, and childhood wonder come together so naturally, come visit St. Mark Christian School today.
