Today, as we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, I was honored to participate in the Elmhurst Memorial Day Parade with the York Township Republican Committeemen's Organization and my wife, Patricia Kladis-Schiappa for DuPage County Clerk. Memorial Day is a reminder that freedom is never free, and we owe an enduring debt of gratitude to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. It was heartening to see so much community pride and support along the parade route. One message I heard repeatedly was “Save our State.” Those are US citizens calling for our help.

I proudly opposed the BUILD Act along with my fellow board members at the Village of Burr Ridge. I also take great pride in the thoughtful work we do to help guide our village’s growth and development. Every decision we make is centered on protecting the character of our community, supporting responsible progress, and ensuring that our village remains a very special place, where residents and businesses can thrive.

Congratulations to my friend, and now Chairman of the Illinois Republican Party Bob Grogan, CPA. Our party is in excellent hands!

Happy Mother’s Day to all, especially my wife, Patricia, who somehow does it all with grace, strength, and love.
