If that wasn't enough excitement, we also released our butterflies today! 🦋✨

🦋🐣 Nature is happening at CDLC!
Our butterflies have emerged from their chrysalises and are ready to spread their wings — we'll be releasing them into the wild very soon! 🪄
Meanwhile, our faithful Mama duck Butterscotch is still patiently sitting on her nest, waiting for her little ones to make their grand entrance into the world. 🐥 We're cheering her on every day!
There is so much life and wonder happening right outside our doors, and our little learners are soaking up every moment. Stay tuned — ducklings could be coming ANY day! 🤞

🌸🦋 Spring has fully arrived at CDLC and we are here for it!
Our little learners have been soaking up every sign of the season — watching our caterpillars transform into chrysalises, carefully tending to flowers they grew just in time for Mother's Day, planting a Minnesota native plant garden, nature walks to spot signs of spring and keeping a very close eye on a very special surprise guest — a mama mallard who decided our playground was the perfect spot to lay her eggs! 🐛🌷🦆
There is nothing quite like watching children experience the wonder of new life up close. Every single day they remind us why this work is so beautiful.
