I GOT DIRTY AND BURNT THIS WEEKEND! âïļðŠīðŠ For the first time this year, I broke a sweat while outdoors this weekend. I went to the Burlington Farmers Market again this weekend, but I also went to Sam Mazza's Farmers Market to get some things to put in my planter boxes!
First and foremost, I took my plants out of the guest room for the first time all year and brought them outside to get some fresh air. There are two pony-tail palms and a monstera. The monstera started off as just a root last year and it grew tremendously over the summer before having to bring it indoors for winter. The newest stuff I planted included cascading petunias, snap dragons, and marigold seeds from last year. I really hope that my green thumbs worked their magic while I was planting everything this weekend. I said a little prayer over the plants before putting them up on the railing.
ð Also, do you not love the gnome watering can? It was too cute not to get last year, and I've been using it ever since. Ugh, what a great weekend on the back patio. The whole vibe is coming along well with the hanging baskets officially being hung and the lights being strung. Hooray for the warmer seasons! Are you excited, too?!

BEHIND THE SCENES: SILLY OUTAKES W/ BO-YEE ðĪŠðļ Just in case you were ever wondering what we do in between commercial breaks and long sports packages, yes, it's exactly this.
I was taking selfies for Bow Tie Friday last week when Bo-Yee, quite literally, popped up out of nowhere. We don't call her "Busy Bee Bo-Yee" for nothin'! ðĪĢ

TUESDAY PREVIEW: HOT + HUMID + STORMY ðĨĩâïļ We want to keep you ahead of Tuesday's marginal to slight risk for strong to severe thunderstorms. Check out the details, here!
Temperatures will manage the upper 80s to near 90 degrees Tuesday afternoon with breezy south winds and an approaching cold front from the west. That cold front will not officially arrive until Wednesday morning. However, there will be enough juicy, unstable air running out ahead of the front and that will allow for a few strong to severe storms Tuesday afternoon. Any one storm will present with heavy rain, damaging wind gusts, and the potential for small to medium sized hail. As of right now, it looks like it will be most active between 12 PM and 6 PM Tuesday (between lunchtime and dinnertime, or so). The severe threat will wind down thereafter with just a couple of leftover showers overnight into Wednesday morning as the actual cold front blows by. Make sure to remain extra vigilant and weather aware Tuesday afternoon, friends.
â ïļ I'll have more exact details about timing, hazards, and local impacts tomorrow morning before the event is set to kick off. Until then, stay hydrated and keep cool!

SUMMER-LIKE WEATHER CONTINUES ðĄïļð Happy Monday, friends! If you liked how warm the weekend was, then you will certainly enjoy how we start off the new work week. Here are the details of your Monday forecast!
Temperatures are in the 40s/50s this morning with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Scattered thundershowers and downpours are scooting across the North Country this morning with a warm front lifting north. Outside of those showers and downpours, it's quiet and dry elsewhere. Filtered sunshine, a stray shower or two, and south breezes are likely this afternoon with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. It will remain mild and partly cloudy overnight as humidity levels continue to rise. It will be mild AND muggy by Tuesday morning with lows mainly in the 60s. Make it a marvelous Monday, friends, and don't forget to drink plenty of water today!

WE'LL SEE YOU TOMORROW MORNING! ð
I hope you all have been enjoying the weekend, big warmup and all. I wanted to share one more photo from last week that I'm still swooning over.
We put on 4 hours of news and weather in the morning and we do so on two different network affiliates Monday through Friday. Would you believe me if I told you that THIS is the team that makes that happen? We are a skeleton crew, but there are benefits to a smaller staff. We are more than just a Morning Brew Crew and I started realizing that a bit more last week as we overcame quite a few adversities. I'm so proud of every single person in this photo for not only doing their own job but going over and beyond every single day. The extra hard work they give on the daily is to make sure we are serving up the most important, informational, up to date weather and news headlines to the communities we love to serve.
ð Thank you to everyone who tunes in the morning, reads articles on our website, and chit chats with us on social media in the mornings. We sincerely appreciate your support, day in and day out! We would not be here if it weren't for all of you, so thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! We'll see you bright and early Monday on ABC22 News This Morning, beginning at 5 AM. See you there!

IF THIS ISN'T VERMONT, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS! ð°ðŦķ I love the Green Mountain State so very much and for so many reasons, and this is one of them. "Cheers" to Vermont!
When would you ever walk into a country story like this and see a water spigot coming out of the wall where you serve yourself water to wash down some delicious sandwiches? Well, at the Old Brick Store in Charlotte, Vermont, of course! How cool is this!! I loved it and, clearly, I just had to document my love for it!
BOW TIE FRIDAY CAM: VIBRANT, SEASONAL SWIRLS ð Before we arrived at our summer-like weekend, I thought I would celebrate our short-lived stretch of spring showers and seasonable temperatures for Bow Tie Friday, hence my choice to wear a bow tie with some spring-colored swirls. Enjoy the close up, friends!

WHAT A HEARTWARMING IDEA! ðŠĻð I was waltzing out of my latest physical therapy appointment this past Wednesday when I saw this really "hearty" rock. It was "lovely" to see after a hard session!
My latest PT appointment was on Wednesday, a rainy and very cool day of weather over on Tilley Drive. Whenever the weather runs colder, rainier than usual, I feel every little bit of the unsettled weather in my joints and bones. Going into PT, my shoulder was in the most amount of soreness I had felt in a while. It was also pretty stiff with a poor range of motion before hitting the gym. However, that's where Kevin comes into play. Kevin is my PT doctor and he does amazing work. I was SO not wanting to go to my appointment Wednesday, but I left feeling better than when I came in. It's amazing what working out and exercising sore, stiff joints can do for your overall pain. It's when you want to give up that you should try to press in even harder, and I think that's what the process I went through this past week. A huge thanks to the team over on Tilley Drive for pushing me to reach my end goals of playing golf this summer. In fact, I was given a little game plan of golf exercises to ready me for the summer. I'm beyond excited!
ð Of course, I cannot end this post without thanking every single one of you. From my last shoulder surgery to this one, the number of you who have stood by my side with supporting words and thoughtful messages is just incredible. I don't know how I could ever repay you all for the priceless amounts of love you have bestowed upon me during BOTH journeys. THANK YOU! ðŦķ
LET'S FIND THESE GIRLS THEIR FOREVER HOME ASAP! ðĄð Is it just me, or have you been thinking about our latest Forever Home episode featuring senior gal pals, Misty and Queenie, too? I would love it if you helped me share their story!
Homeward Bound, Addison County's Humane Society just reported they adopted out 29 pets last week. Many of the adoptions were adult cats, kittens, and working cats but there was not a mention of any dogs finding their Forever Home. It motivated me to work harder to share the story of Misty and Queenie, the most bonded pair of dogs I have seen in a while. Their love for one another is unrelenting. They love being by each other's side and within ear shot of one another. Queenie loves sniffing around, like a typically beagle likes to do. Misty loves to play with her "stuffies" and returns them with kisses. If these two don't melt your heart, I don't know who or what will!
If you know anyone who would love to love Misty and Queenie for the rest of their retirement years, please feel free to use these resources to find out more or to get the adoption process started. Let's find these deserving senior girls their Forever Home TODAY!
