The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

The support of our alumni, families, and friends gives us the strength to thrive. 💚🐾 Thank you for joining us at the Alumni BBQ 🍔 and guiding our cadets as they grow into tomorrow’s leaders.

The field is our classroom, the mountains our teachers. Every obstacle we face turns knowledge into action, and action into leadership. Last weekend, the Green Mountain Battalion completed their fall FTX, proving that perseverance, teamwork, and determination turn challenges into triumphs.

From sunrise hikes to community service, the Green Mountain Battalion’s student-led clubs create space to push our limits, give back, and build connections.

𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 took on an overnight at Battell Trail, complete with a campfire, s’mores, and sunrise hike.

𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 volunteered at the UVM Horticulture Farm, where we weeded, laid down compost over garden beds, and tilled.

Adventure. Service. Leadership. Teamwork. That’s what UVM’s ROTC clubs are all about.

UVM ROTC and the women’s lacrosse team climbed 2,071 steps — a tribute to the 110 floors first responders faced on 9/11. We remember their courage, sacrifice, and resilience.

No terrain too tough, no point too hidden. Day 2 land nav = success.

Congrats CDTs Gourley, Barrowman, Lightfoot, and St. Pierre on receiving a coin from MG Knight for their outstanding work during summer training!

Today our cadets participated in the Vermont Remembers Run at Camp Johnson in Colchester, VT — a community tradition held in remembrance of 9/11.

The race began at 9:11am as a powerful tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of those who gave their lives in service to our country.
