Waterfront Diving Center

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of a longtime member of the Waterfront Diving Center family, Frank “Turtle” Bell, who passed away on June 10 after a brief illness. He was 74 years old.

Frank was a familiar face at the shop for many years and a friend to countless divers. Whether helping with classes, volunteering at special events like the Pumpkin Dive, New Year’s Day Dive, Willoughby Weekend, or the Underwater Poker Run, he was always willing to lend a hand.

Known for his boundless enthusiasm for diving, Frank never missed an opportunity to get underwater. He was also a gifted storyteller whose tales and life experiences brought smiles and laughter to many, especially the young divers who attended our Summer Kids Camps.

Frank’s kindness, generosity, and passion for diving left a lasting impression on our community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Our thoughts are with Frank’s family and friends during this difficult time.
