Let's Make a Tailor's Ham!

Ever wanted to make your own sewing tools? Now is your chance! Learn to make a tailor’s ham (a sewing tool used for pressing curves and shapes at the ironing board!). If you don’t have one, a tailor’s ham is an essential pressing tool used in garment-sewing. And if you do have one…you can always use another! Especially one that you made yourself! Plus there will be doughnuts! Who can say no?

Class will be held Nov. 12th, 10am - 1pm at Little Bird Sewing Studio. Link to class in our bio.

What a dream!

I had such a wonderful time at this weekend! I met so many talented people in real life that I’ve admired from afar on Instagram. Thank you for always being a source of inspiration!

A tale of two shirts!

I was a smidge late in delivering these two Father’s Day gifts to dad and brother… But it was worth the wait! It turns out Dad‘s was also a birthday gift, Happy Birthday Dad!

Both picked fabric from our dead stock collection. Dad‘s is a lovely double gauze with plaid on one side and stripes on the other. Brothers is a beautiful brushed cotton plaid.

The pattern is The Cameron by . If you haven’t tried it this is a great pattern, it is so detailed, you will learn something new guaranteed!

Hot off the sewing machine, I finished the hems this morning!

This is made from our Bamboo Cotton Jersey and it is a dream! Soft with 60% 4 way stretch and it hangs beautifully!
