As August begins, we want to wish all students, teachers, and families a successful and exciting school year!

At Basden Steel, we're proud to support our local schools and invest in the next generation. One way we do that is through Steel Day, where students get a hands-on look at careers in the skilled trades. From welding and fitting to truck driving, crane operation, and more, Steel Day helps introduce students to the many rewarding opportunities our industry has to offer.

We're excited to welcome a new group of students this fall and play a small part in helping them explore their future.

Everyone Meet Luis! 👋

Luis is a Fitter for our Basden Architectural Metals (BAM) division and has been with us for 33 years! His favorite part of the job is welding and helping people; as well as all the friendships he has made throughout the years. He appreciates that Basden Steel is Employee Owned as he sees it as an opportunity that has allowed him a long-term career at BAM.

When not at work, Luis loves being with his family and playing with his grandchildren in the park. They like to play ball, make jokes, and eat snow cones!

We are so lucky to have Luis on our team! Thank you for all your hard work.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of partnering with Meals on Wheels North Central Texas to sponsor 952 meals for seniors throughout our community.

A huge thank you to the members of our Burleson team who volunteered their time to help deliver meals and friendly smiles to those who needed them most. We're also incredibly grateful to the Meals on Wheels team for the life-changing work they do every day.

Through nutritious meals, friendly visits, and safety checks, Meals on Wheels helps older adults maintain their independence, health, and well-being. We're proud to support their mission and give back to the communities that have supported us for so many years.

Our Mid-South footprint just got stronger👏

Effective June 1, Basden Steel proudly acquired Providential Fabricators, an AISC-certified structural steel fabrication shop in Memphis, Tennessee.

This acquisition is a natural fit. Located just across the Mississippi River from our new Arkansas operation, Memphis strengthens our presence in one of the nation's premier logistics corridors—expanding our fabrication capacity, enhancing regional coverage, and allowing us to better serve clients throughout the Mid-South.

As a 100% employee-owned company, we don't grow simply for the sake of growth. We grow to create more opportunities for our employee-owners, strengthen the value we deliver to our clients, and continue building a company positioned for long-term success.

We're excited to welcome the Providential Fabricators team to our ESOP family and look forward to what we'll build together!

Burleson Waterpark Day! 🌊☀️

We had a great time this past Friday enjoying some fun in the sun with our Basden Steel and Deem families at Hawaiian Falls in Mansfield! Between the prizes, good food, and water slides, it was a great day to relax and spend time together.

Thank you to everyone who came out! It's always nice to meet the families behind the people we work with every day and have the opportunity to show our appreciation for the support they provide our employee-owners. We appreciate everyone who made the day such a success!

Everyone meet Hunter! 👋

Hunter is a Contract Administrator (CA) at our Waco Office and has been a part of the Basden Steel team for over two years now! Hunter says that his favorite part of working at Basden Steel is our culture and his opportunity to learn and grow though problem solving and unique challenges. Hunter also loves being a part of the Annual CA Summit, where he is able to meet with other CAs' to collaborate and communicate with individuals across the company.

His favorite memory at Basden Steel is seeing the completion of his first project that he managed from start to finish! Being an employee-owner is special to Hunter because he knows he's working for something bigger than himself. He recognizes that the hard work each person puts in has a real impact—not only on the success of the company, but also on the lives of fellow employee-owners and their families.

Outside of work, Hunter enjoys spending time with his friends and family, especially cheering on the Dallas Cowboys—whether from home or at the stadium. Hunter also loves to golf, hike, and travel to new places!

Everyone Meet David! 👋

David is a yardman/material handler at Basden Steel's facility in Claremore OK and has been with us for 2 years! His favorite part of the job is knowing his team has his back and seeing the transition of ideas from old to new. To David, being an employee owner means long term security for life goals.

Outside of work, David loves to work on cars he finds on marketplace. He also loves to spend time with his kids; they love to swim in their pool and watch movies.
