๐Ÿค– Remember our robot friends that rolled through Burleson's sidewalks earlier this year?

Those robots were helping collect data for the city's ADA Transition Plan, and now it's your turn to help shape a more accessible Burleson.

The ADA Transition Plan Survey gives community members an opportunity to share their experiences and identify accessibility challenges they have encountered in public spaces, sidewalks, facilities and city services.

Your feedback will help the city prioritize improvements, identify barriers and plan for future accessibility needs. We encourage everyone to participate, including individuals with disabilities, caregivers, family members, and anyone who lives, works or visits Burleson.

๐Ÿ“ Take the survey today and help us create a community that is accessible for all.

Thank you to the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame for a great program yesterday. We learned what clothes and tools a cowgirl would use through books and real examples. We also got to make our own cowgirl boot crafts! The Cowgirl Museum will be back at the library on July 22 at 10 a.m. for another great children's program. We hope to see you there!

๐Ÿฆ– The Weekly Dig โ€“ Summer Reading Club Recap! ๐Ÿ“š

What a week of prehistoric fun and hands-on learning at the library!

Families discovered the power of plants during our Master Naturalist Program: Flower Power, featuring a reading of Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert. At All About Animals, attendees got up close with a fascinating lineup of live animals, including a parrot, sugar glider, hedgehog, walking stick, hissing cockroach, ball python, and ferret.

Our T-Rex Tea Party brought families together for dinosaur-themed activities, cupcakes, and refreshing tea from HTeaO in Mayor Vera Calvin Plaza. Teens put their creativity and engineering skills to the test during Recyclosaurus, building dinosaurs from recycled materials as part of a STEAM challenge.

Adults and families also learned valuable skills through Emergency Preparedness 101 & Family Preparedness, gaining practical knowledge to help prepare for emergencies and disasters. Meanwhile, movie lovers enjoyed Jurassic Movie Days with a screening of The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), and young crafters created Toy Story-inspired projects during Craft Day.

A huge thank you to the Friends of the Burleson Public Library, Atmos Energy, H-E-B, the Texas Library Association, the Rio Brazos Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists, HTeaO Burleson, and the North Central Texas Council of Governments for sponsoring and supporting these amazing programs.

Stay tuned for more dino-mite adventures as Summer Reading Club continues! ๐Ÿฆ•โœจ
