We care about our athletes, so we need to talk about a few common nutrition mistakes...

1. Skipping Breakfast
Your body has gone all night without food. Starting your day with only a coffee or energy drink is not a nutrition strategy. Breakfast helps refill your energy stores and gets you ready for the day ahead.

2. Not Eating All Day Before Practice
If youโ€™re showing up to practice hungry, youโ€™re making training harder than it needs to be. Your body needs fuel throughout the day to train hard, recover well, and perform at its best.

3. Not Drinking Enough Water
Hydration isnโ€™t just for game day. Even mild dehydration can affect your performance, endurance, concentration, and recovery.

4. Not Eating After Training
You just spent the last couple of hours asking your body to work hard. Donโ€™t leave it hanging afterward. Carbohydrates and protein help replenish energy, repair muscle, and prepare you for the next workout.

5. Only Caring About Nutrition on Game Day
One good pregame meal canโ€™t make up for a week of poor nutrition habits. Performance is built by the habits you practice every day, not just the meal you eat a few hours before comp.

Shout out to Kinley ๐Ÿ for absolutely kicking butt recently and for giving us such an excellent example of how we train vertical jump power!

One pairing we love is trap bar triple extensions and band-assisted vertical jumps. This allows us to train both force and velocity qualities.

The loaded triple extension helps develop force production, while the assisted jumps allow athletes to express that force at greater speeds.

More power = better jumping โฌ†๏ธ
