Now you know where it all started. 🛩️
This picture was taken 15 years ago. Three pilots. A Cessna 172. Arlington, TX to Las Vegas with a pit stop in Roswell, NM — because of course we stopped in Roswell. 👽
This was during my cross country hours working toward my commercial license. I was in that cockpit completely focused, completely in my element, completely in love with everything aviation.
Life had other plans after this. A different path. A redirect I didn’t see coming.
But the love for aviation never left.
So when it came time to build my business — when the door opened and The Pilot Marketer was born — there was never a question about what to call it. Never a question about the theme. Never a question about any of it.
This is where the name comes from. This is where the obsession comes from. This is the root of everything you see on this page.
The girl in that cockpit didn’t know she’d one day be running a social media marketing business built entirely around the thing she loved most.
But here we are. ✈️

Some days the job comes with surprises and this was one of the good ones. 🥹✈️
Showed up to the ribbon cutting with the today and ran right into Brande Tyler mid-shoot and Maribel Castañeda shortly after. There’s something about seeing your people out in the wild that just fills your cup.
And if that wasn’t enough we met .art , he was there doing caricatures and we absolutely could not say no. 😂 Easily the highlight of the day. The laughs were very much needed.

I’m not saying every business owner needs to dance on TikTok, point at floating text, or post 7 days a week.
But let’s be honest…
When potential clients hear about your business, what’s the first thing they do?
They look you up.

They’re checking if you’re active, legit, trustworthy, and if your brand actually matches what you say you do.
And if they land on a ghost town page with your last post from 2023… 👀
That silence is saying something.
As a social media strategist, I see incredibly talented business owners staying invisible—not because they’re bad at what they do, but because they underestimate how much social media marketing, brand visibility, and consistent content impact trust and conversions.
My take? Social media isn’t the only way to grow your business… but pretending your online presence doesn’t matter anymore is wild.
