You've watched the videos... now come hang out in the retro room.

Tomorrow at 7 PM Central I'll be live on the Floppy Deep Dive YouTube channel for another episode of "What's On That Floppy?"

We'll be loading mystery 5.25" disks and seeing what surprises are hiding on them.

Hope to see you there!

Loaded up Platoon on the Commodore 64 from the original floppy.

The 1541 drive sound, the blue loading screen, the big box, the SID music, and that joystick clicking… this was the whole ritual before you even got into the game.

And this one was brutal.

Be honest - did you ever beat Platoon on the C64?

Back when hockey games had blood on the ice and every controller button took a beating.

NHLPA ’93 on real Sega Genesis hardware still hits different.

Who was your goon in NHL ’93? 🏒

If this sound unlocks a memory, you were there.

The Bard’s Tale on a real Apple IIe.
Real floppy. Real drive. Real CRT.

No emulation. No filters. Just magnetic media grinding away while a whole fantasy world loaded in.

If you had this in 1985, you had an awesome summer.

Did you play The Bard’s Tale on Apple II, C64, Amiga, or something else?

I found this copy of Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger sitting on a Half Price Books shelf for $19.99…

And the seals were still intact.

Had this big box PC game really sat unopened for 30 years?

I had to find out.

This one brought back everything I miss about 1990s PC gaming — manuals, registration cards, ship charts, CD-ROM installs, and that feeling of bringing home a new game and reading the manual before you even got to play it.

What’s the coolest retro thing you’ve ever found out in the wild?

🔴 LIVE: I Found Another Box of Mystery Floppy Disks... 06/12/2026

Going LIVE tonight at 7 PM CT for another What’s on That Floppy?

I’ll be firing up the Commodore 64, digging through mystery disks, and seeing what actually loads on real hardware. The best part is hanging out with everyone in chat — you all basically become the manual when I get stuck.

Come hang out, talk retro, and help me figure out what’s hiding on these old floppies.
