Take a Look Behind the Shelves With “The Librarians”

Enjoy a screening of this award-winning film at a Fairfax County Public Library branch this summer. Described by critics as “gripping,” “a must-see" and “powerful,” “The Librarians” documents the plight of library workers across the United States as they face an increasing number of censorship efforts and calls for book bans. The film tells the stories of the people who find themselves at the center of this fight – the librarians who are determined to preserve their communities’ freedom to read and, in turn, our First Amendment rights.
