Highline Tutoring and Testing Center
Highline Tutoring is a family owned tutoring center opened in Burien, WN for 42 years. HTTC tutors work with all students of varying abilities.
We work with those who are struggling with the academics, those who just want good grades and those working hard to enter the honors programs. Our students range from young children to the adults including college students. We have now added adult writing classes, assistance with on-line courses and test proctoring. Our hours are flexible to meet the family needs.
School is now out. Don't forget to check those report cards for areas needing to improve before this fall. No charge for checking us out.245 SW152nd, Burien

When your child won't listen and has a "hissy fit", just remember these words," I am not your friend, I am your parent".
I wanted to share with families of all ages looking for a place to go on these holidays. This information is from the National Park Service. It would be a great way to see the outdoors and spend some time without the electronics in our lives. I found it on my own email. Wendy
The National Park Service manages more than 430 parks, monuments, historic sites and other natural and cultural landmarks, from Acadia in Maine to Zion in Utah. Most are free year-round, but even the 100 or so that regularly charge admission waive entrance fees on select days. Here are the free dates for 2026:
Feb. 16: Presidents Day (Washington’s Birthday)
May 25: Memorial Day
June 14: Flag Day/President Donald Trump’s birthday
July 3-5: Independence Day weekend
Aug. 25: 110th birthday of the National Park Service
Sept. 17: Constitution Day
Oct. 27: Theodore Roosevelt’s birthday
Nov. 11: Veterans Day
Speaking of veterans, members of the military, military veterans and Gold Star Family members can get a pass for free entry to national parks. For others, it’s not free, but it can be a bargain: People age 62 and older can purchase a lifetime senior pass to the national parks for just $80 (plus a $12.50 processing fee). Up to three individuals age 16 and older who are in the car with a person holding a lifetime senior pass also get in free. (Children under 16 are always admitted for no cost.) Don’t overlook state parks, many of which are free for state residents.

The staff of HTTC want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. We are thankful that students of the HTTC family are doing well. See you Monday.
Just learned some new guidelines for teens to protect them from harm. The state is requiring teens under 18 to be home inside by 11:00 pm . The federal is a little tighter. The time is 10:00. If a person is over 18 with the teens, it cannot be enrolled student. I do not have the guidelines numbers. For more information check online.
