Community Heroes Helping Los Angeles Recover from the Wildfires | JenniferHudsonShow.com In the face of tragedy, it’s important to look to the helpers.Â
California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed legislation today providing $2.5 billion in funding to recovery efforts in Los Angeles County. Newsom signed the bills alongside state lawmakers, city leaders and first responders during a news conference at Willard Elementary School in Pasadena, near where the Eaton Fire devastated the unincorporated community of Altadena as neighborhoods of homes, schools, stores and churches were completely destroyed. The legislative package looks to speed up rebuilding efforts, fund cleanups and issue legal protections and other relief for wildfire survivors. Pastor BJ King was one of five changemakers invited to speak among this group. So proud, excited, and honored to be part of a movement creating real impact and playing a key role in rebuilding California—my home, sweet home.So inspiring, Bj King!!!

“AFTER THE SMOKE” BENEFIT CONCERT: A COMMUNITY UNITED IN HEALING, HOPE, AND ACTION
In challenging times, music has the power to heal, comfort, and unite like nothing else in the world. This Friday, the After the Smoke Benefit Concert Series will launch its mission to provide hope and tangible support to those affected by the devastating Eaton Fire in Altadena.
The first installment of this impactful series will occur on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the View Music Lounge at 1431 W. Knox St., Torrance, CA 90501. Featuring a star-studded lineup of artists, comedians, and community leaders, this groundbreaking event will showcase incredible talent and highlight the bravery and resilience of those directly impacted by the wildfires. Through live music, inspiring speeches, and heartfelt testimonies, After the Smoke is set to be a night of transformation and empowerment.
It isn’t just about great music and performances – it’s about coming together as a community to support our friends, families, and neighbors affected by the devastating Eaton Fire in Altadena. 💔
